The Ivory Coast, Côte d’Ivoire Education Mission

Sometimes changing a future begins with something very simple:

An opportunity to learn.

ASPIRE Beyond Borders, in partnership with ASPIRE Hope Circle of Côte d’Ivoire, is helping provide educational opportunity to children who might otherwise face barriers to beginning or continuing their education.

Our first pilot is supporting 10 children.

For $100, one scholar can receive a full school year of educational support, including:

• Tuition
• School uniform
• Knapsack
• School supplies
• Lunch
• Tutoring and mentoring

But this initiative is about more than putting children in classrooms.

Two fourth-grade students are also serving as peer tutors and mentors, spending two hours after school each day helping younger children. Each receives a modest stipend of $3 per month—a small investment intended to encourage responsibility, leadership, service and the understanding that each one can teach one.

The complete pilot investment is:

10 Scholars — $1,000
2 Student Mentors — $60

Total Goal — $1,060

For that reason, we may use representative or non-identifying imagery rather than photographs that reveal the identities of participating children.

The children are not fundraising props.

Their dignity comes first.

We will share the story of the work through appropriate updates, milestones and community images while respecting the privacy of every child.
